Speech Exams

Room 5 did extremely well in the speech exams this term. 1 highly commended and 4 distinctions, an awesome effort.

Book Week Library

Today we went to the library for book week. Ra read us some books and then we split up into two groups. One group drew dinosaurs and the other group did a treasurehunt.
Shari and Tom were drawn out for the spot prizes. They were dinosaur books.

Athletics

Wow what a day. Are you all tired? I am tired, hot and thirsty.

Town Library

Today we went down to the town library and some of us borrowed books.

Swimming Demonstration

On Monday after morning tea we are going to the town pool for a demonstration of our swimming.
1. Length races
2. Half length races
3. Group demonstrations
4. Fun races.

After this Miss Veale will be buying us some hot chips to share.

Room 5's Monarchs

When we got to school we saw something on the window. We gathered around the window to see what it was. It was 2 orange and black butterflies. Soon Miss Veale got them down and brought them outside. One fluttered away but the next one stayed on her finger and we got to put it on our heads. When we put it on the branched it stayed there for a while. We got bored watching it and went back inside.
